Ami Shah Brown, Ph.D., MPH is Senior Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, Icosavax, a member of the AstraZeneca group of companies. She has more than 25 years of experience in the field of vaccine development.  Prior to joining Icosavax, Dr. Brown was SVP, Regulatory Affairs for Inovio Pharmaceuticals where she spent over 10 years leading Regulatory Affairs as the global regulatory liaison for biologics, medical devices, and combination products for infectious diseases and immunotherapies spanning all phases of clinical trials through to licensure.  She has also held positions at the Sabin Vaccine Institute in Washington, D.C. and served on the faculty in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Tropical Medicine at The George Washington University. Her training and community work include supporting HIV vaccine trials at The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health's Center for Immunization Research, a fellowship with the CDC's National Centers for HIV, STD, and TB Prevention, and with the Emory Vaccine Center.

Dr. Brown holds a Ph.D. in International Health with a focus in vaccine development, application, and policy from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health; a Master of Public Health degree from The Rollins School of Public Health of Emory University; and a BA in biology from the University of Pennsylvania.
