Nicholas Wilcox, M.D.

Nick Wilcox is an alumnus of the Roy and Diana Vagelos Life Sciences & Management Program at Penn. After graduating in 2013, he joined the laboratory of Jos Melenhorst, PhD, investigating biomarkers of response to CAR T-cell immunotherapy. Nick then received his medical training at the Yale School of Medicine, where he received combined MD and MHS degrees. He received a national, funded fellowship from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute to pursue research in cardiac immunology in the laboratory of Jeff Bender, MD at Yale. Nick received the annual Miriam Kathleen Dasey Award at graduation based on his accomplishments as a medical student. In 2019, he returned to Philadelphia as a member of the internal medicine residency program of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he is currently a senior resident. He is thrilled to be starting a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Penn this summer. Following the completion of his clinical training, Nick hopes to become a physician investigator in academic cardio-oncology.
