Prior to Areli working as LSM's Program Coordinator, she was at Penn's Greenfield Intercultural Center (GIC), where she worked for nearly three years. Areli's background reflects a strong commitment to education and student well-being. She earned her Master of Science in Education here at Penn, during which she not only began her tenure at the GIC but also contributed to mental health and wellness research that supported over 16 local school districts. Previously, Areli graduated with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Education Studies from UCLA. There, she worked in the Office of Residential Life and served as a paraeducator and tutor in public schools in Fresno.
Areli is originally from Fresno, California so she's biased towards the west coast but has fallen in love with the east. During her free time, you can find her watching movies and shows, crocheting, running, and enjoying the outdoors.
