Dr. Solit is a portfolio manager at Adage Capital Management, where he invests in both public and private pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Prior to joining Adage, he was a principal at Apothecary Capital, a healthcare focused investment firm backed by the Bass family.
Dr. Solit received his BA in Economics from PENN and MD degree from Jefferson Medical College, followed by a residency in general surgery at Thomas Jefferson University. After residency, he was an Engagement Manager in McKinsey & Company’s healthcare practice and VP, US Major Pharmaceuticals Equity Research at Merrill Lynch.
Dr. Solit also served as a Board Observer at Kythera Biopharmaceuticals, which was acquired by Allergen in 2015.
